Hi! I'm Abby Button...

I have created this blog to share my thoughts about living faithfully as a young adult when there is a pressure to do everything, and caring for creation in a time where it feels overwhelmingly precarious.

I spent my childhood as a missionary kid in Uganda with intermittent furloughs in the Devonshire countryside and the 'Boundary Waters' in Minnesota which altogether hugely impacted my appreciation for the natural world in its diverse forms. Since moving back to the UK I have studied History & Heritage at Bath Spa University with a focus on landscape heritage, completed an RHS Horticulture diploma, and worked for two years as a conservation intern and Grounds Team member at a beautiful boarding school near Bath.

The title of this blog is taken from Psalm 84 which I know is beloved by many: 'How lovely is your dwelling place, Lord Almighty!' (NIV). The dwelling place of the Lord of course has several different connotations, but as for the time being the earth is our dwelling place, and it is where God dwells with us, I hope this blog will be an encouragement as we all try to live in it together with hope and integrity.
